Dr. Daniel McGee is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician with 10 years of experience practicing in South Florida who has recently moved back to Nashville to be closer to his family.

Dr. McGee grew up in Williamson County and completed his bachelor's degree in biology at MTSU.

His passion for medicine first began in high school and as an undergraduate while responding to emergency calls as a firefighter and EMT at the Arrington Volunteer Fire Department.

He then attended medical school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at Nova Southeastern University. He completed his internship in At University of Mississippi Medical Center and later finished his Family Practice residency training at Westchester General Hospital in Miami, Florida.

After residency Dr. McGee completed a two year academic fellowship at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. There he learned about evidence based approaches to achieving optimal health with his patients through positive lifestyle changes including diet, exercise, stress reduction, spirituality and the connection of healthy choices to what is meaningful in people's lives.

He also received additional training through the University of Miami's program in Clinical Nutrition and Functional Medicine which emphasizes helping people find and treat root causes of their chronic diseases.

Dr. McGee has had several years experience applying both Integrative and Functional medicine in a primary care setting and also at Canyon Ranch in Miami Beach center for Health and Healing.

Dr. McGee is passionate about health, and is a lifelong student of fitness and nutrition and enjoys and working with patients to help them feel their best and achieve their health goals.

His wife, Dr. Nika Ferdowsi, is also a physician at Saint Thomas Medical Partners - Nashville with similar training and interests. They enjoy spending time helping take care of patients together at work and at home caring for their young daughter.
